Not many food pictures today because I didn’t eat much. Just didn’t really have much of an appetite. I had peanut butter & Amish store blueberry jam during my commute. I wasn’t really hungry. I just needed to eat something when I took my prenatal vitamin. Does anyone have any tips for taking large vitamins? I’ve taken large multivitamins before without too many issues, but these prenatals are like horse pills. I’ve been making sure I eat a little something before I take them and drinking a lot of water to chase them down. It still feels like they’re getting stuck and they upset my stomach a little.
It was coffee Wednesday at work. My drink was SUPPOSED to be a small frozen vanilla creme. My boss was sure I’d made a mistake because I always get a large and I’m a caffeine addict. So, what did he do? He made it a large and asked them to add a shot of espresso, basically turning it into a large frozen vanilla latte. I really appreciate him trying to “save” me and knowing my tastes. He doesn’t know about my surprise yet and won’t until I’m through the first trimester. I drank about half (within the 12oz. guideline from my doctor) and discreetly through the rest away. I guess next week I’ll have to give him a heads up when I order something out of the ordinary.
I had another lunch date with my friend Miste. We went to the adorable little diner down the street from my office. My best friend actually hosted my bridal shower there because I love it so much. The decor is very kitsch and the food is all homemade. The special was a chicken BLT with potato cakes & broccoli slaw which is what we both ordered. Comfort food at its finest. I left my camera at my desk so no pictures. Oops.
I got back to work and my coworker had OPI nail polish strewn all over her office. Apparently the owner of her salon always over orders and was having trouble getting rid of colors from past seasons. My coworker volunteered to bring them to work and see if she could sell them. The best part? They were $3 each! OPI nail polish is by far my favorite and I own quite a few. They always come out with new colors I want, but it’s hard to justify spending $8 a bottle at regular price. I was in heaven going through all the fun colors. Here’s my loot:
My husband wanted pancakes for dinner and I volunteered to make them. It was one of my most successful attempts when it comes to appearance. He deemed me “the pancake queen” when he took the first bite. I decided to have a small portion of leftover macaroni & cheese with cauliflower instead.
We decided to skip our gym plans. There was a horrible wind storm with thunderstorms on the way. Our power kept flickering and the dog seemed a little nervous. I did a little stretching while we watched Scooby Doo. It’s amazing how cartoons can turn adults into little kids again. 😀
