Hi! My name is Katie. I’m a 28 year old wife and stay-at-home mom of our amazing, energetic 1 year old daughter.
I was born and raised in Central Ohio. In 2005, I graduated from Ohio University (Bobcats, not Buckeyes) with a degree in Telecommunications: Media Studies, a minor in Spanish and a Political Communications certificate. Got all that? Great! It makes me sound a whole lot smarter than I really am. 
I married my wonderful husband in March 2008 and relocated to his hometown, our current residence in rural Southern Ohio. Our daughter was born in October 2009. Two months later, I left my job to become a full-time mom. While my daughter is my #1 job priority, I also work a few hours a week as a Weight Watchers receptionist and leader.
I started Up Fit Creek in January 2009. After losing over 70 pounds, this blog was the answer to the question, “Now what?” It began as a way to keep myself accountable in my eating and exercise. Thanks to the amazing blogging community, this blog has become so much more. Here you’ll find a hodge podge of my food, fitness, and random ramblings about my daily life.

I love that you are a SAHM, but still make time to be involved with something you are passionate about (at weight watchers). That’s so great that you’ve found such a wonderful balance like that!
We got married the same year! My husband and I got married a couple of months after you guys in August ’08!
